Fans of both Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls will be excited to read that the new game from From Software, Bloodborne, will be released early next year. The game appears to follow in the same vein as the Souls series and is being directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, who directed both Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls.
In an interview with Digital Spy, the producer, Jun Yoshino said that the game would be available to play at the German expo in August. “We’re really working flat out to get this game out for early 2015,” he said, “We’re going to be there at all upcoming major game shows like gamescom, where we’ll have our first hands-on demo on pods on the showfloor. There we can gauge first hand the reaction to the game.”
Although it has been made clear that this is not connected to Demon’s Souls, the game certainly looks and feels similar. In terms of gameplay things have changed, this time you will have to take a more defensive strategy in combat whereas in the Souls games you were encouraged to be more defensive.
