Ah, nice. Sony has released new PlayStation system update. You can just go ahead and fire up your PS4 and—wait….This system update isn’t for the PS4. Believe it or not, the newest PS firmware update is for the Vita.
That’s right, the Vita just got a new system update, which bumps up its firmware to 3.67. Sony’s only patch notes for this update are as follows:
New for 3.67
System software stability during use of some features has been improved.
That’s it. Really, there’s nothing more to it. It’s the same generic line that’s been used in a lot of the older patch notes as well. It’s become well-known by the gaming community that these kinds of vague, PR patch notes for system updates usually means a security exploit was taken care of. It looks like Sony is still interested in keeping Vita pirates/hackers at bay, at least for now.
