If you’ve been amassing a collection of titles on your PS4, then you’ve probably come to realize how quickly its storage space seemingly vanishes away. Fortunately, you’re not stuck with the base amount as the capacity can be expanded quite simply by just plugging in an external hard drive to one of the system’s USB ports. If you’ve been looking for one to pick up, then you may be interested in the newest one from Western Digital: the My Passport Game Storage for PS4.
This new WD external hard drive comes in a 2TB and 4TB variant, and they both sport USB 3.0 connectivity for high speeds (as far as a mechanical hard drive standards go, at least). That’s quite a lot of space and it should definitely last you a while unless you happen to be downloading absolutely everything possible from the PS Store.
The 2TB variant is going for $80, while the 4TB model will run you $130. This is pretty expensive, but considering the massive amount of space, it’s kind of understandable. But, you might be able to find a better deal with hard drives that aren’t specifically branded such as this one. Manufacturers always tend to charge more when a product-specific emblem is attached, as is the case with this. While this hard drive ‘guarantees’ compatibility with the PS4, you can still use this on anything else that supports external HDDs like a computer, so just keep that in mind.
