Audiophiles, look alive. Sony has made some improvements to its premium PlayStation-branded headset: the PS Gold Wireless.
While this headset is not made out of actual gold or painted in a gold-color (come on, you could at least give us that, Sony!) it does offer a rich audio experience, as claimed by Sony themselves. Seeing that Sony makes all sorts of high-quality electronics, I’m willing to take that statement as fact.
The new-and-improved PS Gold Wireless Headset features a sleeker design, along with 7.1 high-fidelity virtual surround sound and gmented noise-canceling hidden microphones. You can also pair it with the Headset Companion App on a PS4 system to load game-specific custom audio modes which really enhance the gameplay experience of various different titles. While this is advertised as a wireless headset, it also comes with a 3.5mm audio cable so you can connect it to an ancient device that’s still using that dreadfully obsolete headphone jack (obvious sarcasm is obvious).
If you’re interested, then you can pre-order the new headset for $99.99. It’s set to release later this month.
