Bungie’s new expansion for Destiny 2 has been announced and fully detailed. Called Forsaken, it seems to be what people were hoping for: a Taken King level of DLC quality. It takes place in the Tangled Shore, a new part of the Reef where criminals roam free. Players will hunt them down in what Bungie has dubbed “Baron Hunts,” and we will have a bunch of new abilities and weapons to do it with. Such as Void Warlock teleports (the developer who mentioned this was very excited about how anime that looked) and a freaking bow, souped up to fit in alongside all the other sci-fi weaponry.
Along with that, a new location was shown off for where raids will take place, called the Dreaming City. Which will change throughout the years, although in what ways they didn’t really show. A new collection menu helps you find items you still need to fill out your collection, what to do and where to get them. And, finally, a brand new mode called Gambit which is a cool mix of PVE and PVP.
Forsaken launches on September 4. Is any of this enough for you to pick Destiny 2 up? Honestly, I’ve never played it before but these changes seem very cool to me, I might just have to jump in with this expansion.

Been a fan of video games ever since I opened up a Game Boy with Pokemon Yellow one Christmas far too long ago. I even taught myself to read by playing it! From then on, games and words have always been linked for me. I found that what I really liked about video games (and every other thing I owned) was the stories they held. I’m honored to be here, using my words to talk about the wonderful worlds that games can take us to.
