The massively popular Monster Hunter World is getting another crossover under its belt. This time it’s with Final Fantasy 14, the equally as popular MMO. In a new patch called Under the Moonlight, Monster Hunter content will be coming to Eorzea. Not a lot was shown, but we saw a Rathalos (likely a boss battle) and a Palico companion running around in the Final Fantasy world. That was all the concrete details shown, the trailer is under a minute long, but there will have to be more in the full update if past crossovers are any indication.
Under the Moonlight (and in turn, the Monster Hunter content) launches this summer. You can check out the trailer below to see all the crossover goodness.
Have all of you still been playing Final Fantasy 14? Will you drop back in once the Monster Hunter content launches? That Rathalos fight alone looks pretty tempting to me.
Been a fan of video games ever since I opened up a Game Boy with Pokemon Yellow one Christmas far too long ago. I even taught myself to read by playing it! From then on, games and words have always been linked for me. I found that what I really liked about video games (and every other thing I owned) was the stories they held. I’m honored to be here, using my words to talk about the wonderful worlds that games can take us to.
