Ever since the Resident Evil 2 remake rumors started to swirl around the internet I was hoping and praying that the game would return the series to third-person and that the game would play perfectly. Not to mention Capcom would do all the fan favorite characters justice in the remake. In short, all of my dreams are coming true. But most importantly, I’m getting serious Resident Evil 4 vibes from Resident Evil 2 on PlayStation 4. In the latest PlayStation Enthusiast video, I go over all of that and more. Let’s jump in!
Platforms: PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Also enhanced on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.

Why is it such a big deal to me that the Resident Evil 2 remake is similar to Resident Evil 4? Well, Resident Evil 4 is one of the few games that have made a big impact on my life. Earlier this week I spilled my heart out on why I believe Resident Evil 4 is still the pinnacle of action-adventure.
“This might sound a bit insane but my playthrough counter was actually in the 70s on my GameCube. That’s not including all the times I played through Resident Evil 4 on various other platforms (I may have even bought that crappy iOS game, don’t judge me!). What can I say, I love this game.
Resident Evil 4 hit every note it attempted to. The gameplay is intense, the bosses are epic, the characters and writing are charming, and the progression system is so damn addicting. The game never lets up and it is full of surprises.”
