With NetheRealm’s Mortal Kombat 11 just mere weeks away, we are still getting roster reveals in the lead up to launch. Sony’s State of Play presentation last week gave players glimpses of the returning Liu Kang, Kung Lao, and Jax.
Now, we have a brand new character making her debut.

Via Game Informer, Cetrion is an Elder God that is connected to the Earth, able to manipulate the elemental powers in combat. From summoning vines to conjuring up rocks, she is literally a force of nature. One of her Fatalities, as shown in the video, sees Cetrion grow enormously before obliterating her foe with an energy beam.
Cetrion is the second new playable face in the roster for Mortal Kombat 11. She follows after Geras, who also has some elemental powers of his own, able to control sand and even time.
NetherRealm will also be releasing a bevy of DLC characters to beef up the main roster of Mortal Kombat 11. While we do not know how many fighters there will be in total, but we got a look at the first addition, Shang Tsung, last month.
Tsung’s likeness is based on Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, the actor who played the character in the 1995 Mortal Kombat film.
Mortal Kombat 11 launches for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch on April 23. Pre-ordering the game will also net you the bonus of Shao Kahn.
