EA and BioWare’s latest game, Anthem, has been through a tumultuous time. With much hype going into release, it came out to a whirlwind of negativity and criticisms despite great sales numbers.
Much of the content was delayed, patches fixed and broke stuff, and what was there was quickly consumed by players who were now worried about Anthem‘s future.
To belay that concern, some of the brass at BioWare has now spoken up and reassure fans that the studio is staying committed to supporting Anthem.
“We remain 100% committed to Anthem and look forward to showing players the new content we are working on. We want to make sure we aren’t overpromising, so our updates on what’s coming in the game will be focused when we have things near completion.”
The lead producer, Mike Gamble, chimed in as well.
There's been a lot of (incorrect) speculation on this. The studio's support and commitment to anthem HAS. NOT. CHANGED. https://t.co/uxwY3ADPRO

BioWare has also acknowledged that there have been some missteps, and is now hard at work and will only communicate when progress is nearing completion.
A lesson we have learned is we have been talking about things too early. There are so many factors that can cause us to pivot on our plans–whether it’s bugs & stability issues, player feedback, or complications with a feature that require us to take more time to deliver it. Our goal is to tell you about new content and features once the work is closer to being done.
Trophy hunter and dedicated completionist, love to talk all things games!
