The next iteration of PlayStation news streams, State of Play is around the corner. Sony announced through PlayStation Blog that their second State of Play is scheduled for May 9th, 2019 at 3:00 PM PT and 6:00 PM ET. Sadly, they also confirmed no PS5 information will be revealed.
Don’t expect much though. The PlayStation Blog describes the event as a short show, with a duration of around 10 minutes. This State of Play will focus on MediEvil, featuring an extended look of the game. In addition, we will get to see a brand-new title and “more.”
Furthermore, Sony also mentioned that there would be some updates and announcements for upcoming PS4 titles. Release dates for Ghost of Tsushima or Death Stranding probably? Unlikely, but we can only hope it improves from the previous State of Play.
Lastly, and sadly, Sony also confirmed that there wouldn’t be any information in regards to PS5. The PlayStation Blog added:
One note: Don’t expect any updates relating to our next-generation plans this time. Sorry!
We created an article with some insight on how Sony could improve their current State of Play formula. This time around we know what some of the content is in advanced, so MediEvil fans can start feeling the hype now. The short duration also indicates we might get just teasers and brief updates, nothing too monumental. Hopefully, State of Play will be better this time and become the fun and engaging way to keep fans updated that everyone is longing for.
