At PlayStation’s State of Play stream, as well as their own livestream after, Capcom showed off what’s awaiting hunters later this year.
The Hoarfrost Reach features plenty of new challenges to tackle, a lot more upgrades and gadgets to use, including a new grappling hook, and modifiers to existing gear. All that will require you to battle some new beasts, including the brute wyvern Banbaro, and the new elite monster, Velkana.
Players will have to keep themselves warm in this new frigid landmass by drinking hot drinks and bathing in natural hot springs to stave off the cold’s debilitating effects.
If you have already put plenty of hours into the original game, Iceborne can be bought separately for $39.99, with a deluxe edition that includes special items and gear, including a new Yukumo armor set and additional items available as well.
Newcomers need not fret though, a Master Edition of the game, which will feature all existing content along with the Iceborne expansion will set you back $59.99 at launch.
The State of Play event featured plenty of other news, including more details on the MediEvil remake, a new Predator multiplayer title, a possum-centric survival game, a new PS4 console, and the big one, Final Fantasy VII Remake.
