Rockstar has now unveiled the details for their latest content update to Red Dead Redemption 2‘s online mode, Red Dead Online, which has now officially left beta. PS4 players will have early access to some of the content.
This includes the Ancient Tomahawk weapon, two new Showdown modes, and the Perlino Andalusian Horse, along with new horse equipment, clothing, and emotes. The Make It Count: Ancient Tomahawk and Last Stand are the two new Showdown modes for this Red Dead Online update.
The additional clothing options include items from the Wheeler, Rawson and Co. Catalogue, such as the Wescott Skirt, Valdez Vest, Citadel Boots, and Plaid Cap.
Both Sadie Adler and the Black Belle both return from the game’s campaign, bringing players for a ride to the Adler Ranch or riding to Lemoyne for some hijinks. These missions will hit all platforms at the same time in Red Dead Online.
A 25% increase will also apply to all A Land of Opportunity and Free Roam missions, Showdown modes, Races, and even Free Roam events. Join up with a posse and you will be earning an extra five Gold Bars, RDO$, and XP as a bonus when you play together.
There will also be plenty of quality-of-life fixes being implemented in Red Dead Online, as stated in a blog post by Rockstar.
“We continue to work behind the scenes to address overall game stability and performance with recent fixes including closing some duplication exploits, resolving issues related to reduced numbers of animals in sessions, updating Defensive mode to revert Playing Style to Offensive and apply a Hostility penalty when stealing cargo from another player’s horse and more,” the developers wrote.
