It would not be Christmas without some gifts, and it appears that Crash Bandicoot fans have plenty to be cheery about this holiday season. Activision seems to have sent out Crash Bandicoot-themed products, complete with a red Santa hat, to several social media influencers, and according to them, these gifts were unexpected. A surprise marketing campaign perhaps?
7 LARGE SCALE influencers have just received Crash products with little Santa hats on them out of the blue.

Apparently, this is not something Activision have not done before, with a similar marketing push occurring last year as well, according to one Genelle Aimee, only with cookies.

Canadian Guy Eh retweeted the cookie tweet and added “Also, the cookies Came December 5th last year (my time) and its currently December 6th. It’s too similar and too close to be a fluke.” Could we really be awaiting the true comeback of Crash Bandicoot? Or is this just another smart way of reminding gamers that modern games for the mascot are still a thing for the holidays?
With The Game Awards 2019 happening in just a few days, as well as a PlayStation State of Play, it would be the perfect time to reveal a new Crash Bandicoot title with a splash, after Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy, developed by Toys for Bob, and Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, developed by Beenox, with both published by Activision.
