At E3 we were shown a gameplay trailer for Assassin’s Creed: Unity and it looked awesome. The amount of NPC’s was staggering as the protagonist used his updated freerunning techniques to leap across the city. It also looked mighty purty too.
Ubisoft seem to making the most of the PS4 and Xbox One’s hardware as they say this new entry will mark a new beginning in the franchise. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said of the game:
“It’s a game that takes full advantage of the new gen. It’s really a good demonstration of what those machines can do. And people are amazed.
“They didn’t expect those machines to deliver that level of graphics and animation quality, the depth of the number of people that can move in the environment, and so on. It’s helping the brand to have a new beginning with totally different possibilities,”
The game will also feature multiplayer in a way that has never been seen before in an Assassin’s Creed game. It seems your friends can now work with you to take down targets. Ubisoft haven’t explained quite how it will work but it certainly looks promising.
This Autumn is going to be a big time for Ubisoft as they will be releasing Unity, Far Cry 4, and The Crew. Assassin’s Creed: Unity will be available to play on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 28th.
