Blacksad: Under the Skin is finally coming soon to PS4 in America. The adventure game is based on the Blacksad comics by Juan Díaz Canales and Juanjo Guarnido. Mainly, the plot of the comic series revolves around a 1950s American black cat detective, John Blacksad. Yes, you read right, a black cat. In this particular world, all of the characters are played by anthropomorphic animals. Furthermore, the videogame follows Blacksad in yet another black corruption scandal in the midst of New York City that needs to be solved. Certainly, it is hard to picture without some visual aid! You can take a look at the official Blacksad: Under the Skin launch trailer below.
This time around, the story follows the death of a boxing club owner, Joe Dunn, and the mysterious disappearance of Robert Yale, a high profile boxer. Joe’s daughter, Sonia Dunn, takes over his dad’s business. Then, she decides to hire a private detective to solve her father’s death and Robert’s vanishing. Enter John Blacksad. It is worth noting that this is an original story and not a recreation of the existing ones from the comic series. The gameplay will be narrative-driven and will combine puzzles, quick-time events, and multiple-choice dialog. Blacksad: Under the Skin is coming to PS4 on December 10 in America.
Speaking of December 10, Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove is getting new content and a price hike on PS4 on this date.
