Shown during The Borderlands Show, Gearbox’s monthly web show for information about Borderlands 3, Creative Director Paul Sage gave players the first look at Bloody Harvest. It will be released next month, and is just the first of many free, limited-time events coming to the shooter.

The Bloody Harvest will begin as players explore the outer sections of the universe, with Haunted enemies appearing in a few locations. They possess the new Terror debuff that can affect players’ vision, gun handling, accuracy, and spread.

Defeating these foes will earn you Hecktoplasm, a limited-time currency that can be turned in to Maurice, a new NPC aboard the Sanctuary III. Eventually, you will gain access to the map for the Bloody Harvest.

It will not be a Borderlands 3 event without boss fights, and a new battle with Captain Haunt as the Baron of the Bloody Harvest will be waiting. Returning in a new form, the former Captain Traunt of Maliwan will be back to haunt your adventures this time around.
