A Borderlands 3 rebalance is on the way this month, having been delayed from the original balancing date which was meant to be before the end of 2019. The Borderlands 3 rebalance will address a time limited event in the game, Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite, and should make life easier for solo players who have been struggling up until now. Gearbox announced that the balance was coming in December, and that it would change the way the event worked to alter difficulty based on the number of players in the game at the time. Check out the trailer for the new content below and read on for more details.
The scaled down version of Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite will launch on January 16, 2020, and run until January 30, 2020. The new scalability means that players will be able to take on the event even if they play Borderlands 3 solo, meaning that you don’t have to go into it with a full team of high level players just to have a chance at finishing. However, the content is being scaled back up after January 30, 2020, meaning solo players need to finish it before then if they want to have a chance at learning the loot within.
This is the latest endgame content to come to Borderlands 3. With Christmas and the new year out of the way though, it’s likely that Gearbox will be releasing something new very soon.
