One of my favourite games of 2016 was Oxenfree. The supernatural adventure game had a great story, good dialogue, some interesting mechanics, and a nice presentation. The game’s developer, Night School Studio, has been working on Afterparty for a while now and it certainly looks interesting. You play as a couple of friends who have recently died. They find themselves in drinking competition with Satan. If they win, they will be returned to earth. If they lose, though, they’ll spend eternity in Hell. It’s certainly out there as a game concept but after Oxenfree, we’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. Well, if this sounds interesting to you, you’ll be pleased to know that the game now has an official release date. Afterparty will launch on 29th October. The announcement was made on Twitter and you can check out the Tweet below –

And if you want to know more about the game, here are the teaser trailer for the game as well as the official description –

In Afterparty, you are Milo and Lola, recently deceased best buds who suddenly find themselves staring down an eternity in Hell. But there’s a loophole: outdrink Satan and he’ll grant you re-entry to Earth.
