Netflix is making a concerted push into the videogame market at the moment. We have recently seen the launch of a Stranger Things game, a tie-in with Fortnite, and there’s also Stranger Things DLC for Dead by Daylight. The latest property from the streaming giant to make the move to the videogame space is Narcos. This property has already had three seasons or the main show as well as two seasons of a spinoff (Narcos: Mexico). The main series tells the story of Pablo Escobar and the DEA’s attempts to thwart his operation.
Narcos: Rise of the Cartels plays out as a tactical, turn-based strategy game. You appear to be able to choose which side you play as. Do you want to play as the Cartel or will you side with the DEA and try to take down the Cartel. To show off this option, Curve Digital, the game’s publisher, has released two different trailers for the game. One from the side of the Cartel and the other from the perspective of the DEA. Narcos: Rise of the Cartels will launch for PC and consoles in late 2019
