There’s a lot coming today for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 fans. Operation Apocalypse Z is available right now. Along with it, there are some Blackout Map changes taking place, new Multiplayer modes, a new Specialist named Reaper, and the penultimate chapter of the Zombie Aether storyline.
The Reaper is back
Reaper is making a comeback to Multiplayer in Operation Apocalypse Z. This time around, it is equipped with the Scythe, a heavy machine gun. In addition to its power, the Scythe also applies a suppression effect on the enemies it targets. On top of that, Reaper will also be equipped with the Radar Shroud. This is a deployable jammer that blocks enemies from using their minimap within its coverage area.
Maps and more for Black Ops Pass owners
Those who have the Black Ops Pass, will have three new Multiplayer maps available in Operation Apocalypse Z. This includes two new Zombie-themed battlegrounds and also a Black Ops classic map, Der Schatten. As well, other new maps, The Museum of Unnatural History and Havana, will be available.
There are going to be massive changes to the Blackout map as well. The sunlit sky and terrain will be substituted by floating ember and dead flora and fauna. All this to reflect the impending zombie apocalypse. These changes will apply for two map variants The Haunting Fog, which will add a dark fog and the regular Blackout map with zombie themes, but with no fog.
Alcatraz will also have an additional variant, Alcatraz: Nightfall. This new variant will include a new game mode that will bring Hellhounds and the Warden to the prison island. The new mode Alcatraz Portals Horde will challenge you to survive your enemies and the lethal horde.
