With the launch of Shadowkeep as well as the free-to-play version of Destiny 2, Bungie has no doubt been getting busy. Among the slew of in-game content comes yet another event, this time for a far greater cause than ridding the world of invaders. Taking place from October 24 to November 10, Guardians can participate in Games2Give, a Destiny 2 charity event for streamers and viewers to help those less fortunate.
In a blog post, Bungie stated that all the proceeds from this annual event will go straight to Bungie Foundation’s iPads for Kids Program and the Children’s Miracle Network. There will be limited-time rewards for viewers who donate, such as the new Mist Blossom emblem for a $10 donation, or the Exotic Ghost shell, the Gilded Shell for a $50 donation. The list goes on into much larger and rarer goodies.
Streamers are also included in the rewards, alongside other rewards like a VoltEdge TX70 Wireless Headset and a VIP trip to visit Bungie’s development studio. A special 24-hour livestream will be held on October 29, with both Bungie and content creators joining hands for challenges and activities to raise even more funds for Games2Give.
Playing games might be an awesome hobby, but doing so while doing your part for a charitable cause just makes it even sweeter.
