A whole host of changes and additions were detailed for the upcoming patch 5.1 for Final Fantasy XIV in the latest Letter from the Producer Live. The exciting content includes a Nier Automata alliance raid, the Grand Cosmos dungeon, and plenty of tweaks and balances for classes and jobs. All of these changes will be implemented on October 29, but one important detail to note is the option of New Game+.

Final Fantasy XIV‘s New Game+ will allow players to replay story quests from all three major expansions: Heavensward, Stormblood, and Shadowbringers, without fear of overwriting your previous progress. It is a great way for players to experience the story again, while leveling up neglected classes and jobs. Do note that quest item rewards will not be given again.

Quests in both Heavensward and Stormblood will be divided into four parts, although exactly where is still uncertain at the moment, while Shadowbringers will be divided into just two parts. Players in Final Fantasy XIV‘s New Game+ will not be able to switch between quests as you will have to play each chapter from the beginning. One auto-save slot will be assigned for the mode.
