When thinking about the PlayStation 3 games that we would like to see remastered there’s an array of answers here at Enthusiast Towers. Some people would like to see Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots get a current-gen polish. Others would vote for Red Dead Redemption or The Mass Effect Trilogy. In fact, there would be a huge selection of games we’d love to see again. However, I think it would be safe to say that no-one would have voted for Ghostbusters: The Video Game. Well, we are clearly not video game executives and that’s what they have decided to go ahead and remaster. We have known about (deep breath) Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered for a while now but we finally know that it will launch on 4th October.

To be fair, Ghostbusters: The Video Game was a pretty solid game. It’s certainly light years ahead of the games that followed it. The fact that the original cast voiced their characters in the game certainly helps. It was the gameplay, which was the best in the series, which really sold it, though. The capture of ghosts felt just right and helped to pull you into the world.
