Codemasters’ revival of the GRID franchise was announced just a few weeks ago, right before E3. The return of the franchise was well-received by fans as the game is looking to be a great entry in the new world of modern racers. If you’re one of the folks looking forward to returning to the starting line, then you may want to let your engines idle for just a little longer.

The developers have announced that the new GRID will no longer be peeling out this September, but rather, it will be coming in October. October 11, 2019, is the new official release date. Those of you that pick up the Ultimate Edition will still have a three-day headstart over everyone else, meaning that you’ll get in on October 8, 2011.

This delay is relevant for all versions of the game: PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

A specific reason for the delay has not been given. In the meantime, just continue to revel in the visual goodness that the handful of trailers that have been released provide.
