At a recent PES 2015 event, studio head James Cox described the microtransaction system that will be featured within the Konami soccer game. In PES 2015’s new MyClub mode, gamers will be able to buy players for their team using in-game currency which is won through playing matches. If someone does not want to grind for this in-game currency, however, they will be able to purchase it with in-game microtransactions. In essence, this will allow gamers to purchase the best players available using their real-world money.
“If you don’t have a lot of time, then with microtransactions you can go buy a lot of players that you want,” began Cox. “But you also can earn Game Points in the mode and other parts of PES as well. We’re trying to link things together so you can progress and build your team. The idea is that we’re trying to just give the players the choice of what they want to do. Some people have more time, some people have more money. Some people have a bit of each! Either way, you’ll have the choice.”
PES 2015 will be launching later this year on the PS3 and PS4. Will you be willing to pay for these microtransactions when the game is released? Make sure to let us know below!
