The Wolfenstein franchise has thrived this generation. This is good news as it was faltering somewhat over the last couple of systems. The latest entry in the franchise is Wolfenstein: Youngblood and adds new elements like co-operative play. We enjoyed the game with Christian saying “If you have a sense of humor and love the snappy gameplay and action that Wolfenstein is famous for, you are in for a treat with Wolfenstein: Youngblood.” Well, if you are playing the game and finding it a little too challenging, then you’ll be interested to know that a new patch will tone things down a little.

According to the official patch notes, this update will adjust the difficulty of all boss fights, as well as reducing the feeling of enemy “bullet sponginess”. This is not all, though. When you respawn you will also receive some ammo for basic weapons. This is particularly welcome in my eyes as I remember fighting the last boss, dying, and having no ammo left to continue the fight. I ended up trying to manipulate the system by collecting ammo and then deliberately dying repeatedly so I could replenish my ammo and then take on the boss. Weapon switching has also been sped up on certain weapons to adapt to enemy types.

The update is currently available on PC and will be coming to consoles soon. You can check out our review of Wolfenstein: Youngblood here.
