Just a few days before Gearbox Software’s Borderlands 3 arrives on the PlayStation 4 and other platforms on September 13, the looter-shooter gets a final and official launch trailer featuring the tunes of Queen.
Amara the Siren, Zane the Operative, Moze the Gunner, and FL4K the Beastmaster are shown doing what they do best, wrecking shop and creating mayhem in the fight against the Children of the Vault and the evil Calypso Twins, Troy and Tyreen. Much like what we have come to expect from Borderlands 3, it is definitely a feast for the eyes with all the bright lights, explosions, and utter chaos, against Queen’s Seven Seas of Rhye from their 1973 debut album.
Not only that, the crew is joined by many familiar faces like Lilith, Tiny Tina, Moxxi, Ellie, Zero, and more onboard the ship Sanctuary III, as the new entry in the franchise features planetary travel for the first time. The base formula for the game remains, shoot stuff, get loot, and reviews that went live this morning seem to suggest that fans will be satisfied, but not so for newcomers.
Regardless, Gearbox has already announced plans for post-launch content for Borderlands 3, including a Halloween-themed limited-time event, the Bloody Harvest, a larger update with Maliwan Takedown, and a huge DLC expansion before the end of the year.
