Capcom’s Monster Hunter World has been unequivocally a success since its launch early last year, and has seen countless crossovers with the likes of Final Fantasy XV, The Witcher 3, Street Fighter, and more. Now, for the latest Monster Hunter World: Iceborne expansion, players can team up with Horizon Zero Dawn’s Aloy once again in a second collaboration announced at Gamescom 2019.
Centered around the Frozen Wilds DLC, a perfect match considering the frozen theme, you can suit up in Aloy’s Frozen Wilds armor as you start your journey into Monster Hunter World: Iceborne.
This follows the first limited-time Horizon Zero Dawn event that took place when the base game launched, adding Aloy’s look, bow, and armor to the arsenal of Hunters everywhere. This new Iceborne and Frozen Wilds crossover looks to be in a similar vein, and instead of a bow, players can expect to be using Aloy’s bowgun in battle.
No release date has been set for the collaboration, however, with Iceborne arriving September 6, the event should not be too far off. Of course, this will be a PlayStation exclusive event.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is the first major expansion to Capcom’s Monster Hunter World, and will bring Hunters to a new region called Hoarfrost Reach. New monsters and subspecies will appear both the frozen location, as well as locations in the base game.
