Mortal Kombat 11 goes free to play for the weekend - Raiden

If you have not gotten the chance to experience one of the best games of 2019, NetherRealm Studios is giving PS4 owners a chance to get bloody with Mortal Kombat 11 for free, starting Friday, October 11. The free trial period will be available all the way until Monday, October 14. The trial can be played offline but if you want to head online to duke it out, you will need to have PlayStation Plus.

With two chapters of its story mode as well as both local and online 1v1 matches available with the base roster, there is already plenty to get into. The Krypt, Fatality Training, and the Towers of Time mode will also be available, with the Terminator, Nightwolf, and Shang Tsung added for Towers of Time.

If the free trial got you hooked, you will be able to grab Mortal Kombat 11 at 40% off on the PlayStation Store during the weekend for just $36 instead of the usual $60. The Premium Edition will be discounted to $54 from $90, and includes the Kombat Pack containing new playable fighters, skins, and gear sets. Even better, all the progress you make in the trial will carry over to the full game.

There will be even more fighters joining the roster after the Terminator T-800, with Sindel, DC’s Joker, and Spawn being the next three additions to the already substantial roster.
