NetherRealm Studios has finally unveiled the full lineup for the DLC fighters that will be coming to Mortal Kombat 11 at Gamecom 2019. The Kombat Pack will add the returning Sindel, Image Comics’ Spawn, The Terminator, and the clown prince of crime, Joker.
Also, as part of the Kombat Pack, Nightwolf and Shang Tsung have both been released into the arena ahead of the rest of the roster. Curiously, earlier leaks point towards the Evil Dead‘s Ash Williams, but he is nowhere to be seen thus far.
The trailer also gave us the release dates of these new fighters. The Terminator T-800 will arrive on October 8; evil Outworld queen Sindel comes on November 26; Batman’s arch-nemesis the Joker will head into action on January 28; Todd McFarlane’s Spawn comes out on March 17, almost a full year after Mortal Kombat 11 released.
Considering the past records of DLC fighters in Mortal Kombat, it is likely that Spawn will not be the last new face we will see. Since MKX, NetherRealm has kept up with the tradition of including surprise guest fighters, even in the Injustice series. The likes of Hellboy, Sub Zero, and the pizza-loving Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have all appeared.
Needless to say, there will be plenty of bloodshed and skulls smashed as there will be a total of 6 new faces joining the already robust roster of Mortal Kombat 11 by March 2020, and for once, that is a good thing.
