Capcom is set to unveil a new Resident Evil project ahead of Tokyo Game Show 2019 on September 9. The codename or tentative title is Project Resistance, and little else is known about the game, except that it is coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and Steam.
With the teaser trailer expected on September 9, there will also be a booth at TGS for Project Resistance where gameplay will be shown by developers for the first time. Whether or not the footage makes it out of the show is anyone’s guess, so for anyone attending TGS this year, be sure to register in advance and drop by the booth.
Prior to the release of the Resident Evil 2 remake, its website was updated with a blank, white screen. The very same has been done to the Resident Evil Outbreak website, which could make it is next. Or it could just be a routine process in maintaining the site, only time will tell as TGS 2019 gets ever closer.
The news that Capcom is looking for playtesters for a new upcoming Resident Evil game in North America could be linked to Project Resistance, or it could be another game entirely. Either way, it is a good time to be a zombie fan right now.
