The official reveal of the new Saints Row game is set to come sometime in 2020 according to Deep Silver.
GamesIndustry.biz held an interview with Koch Media CEO, Klemens Kundratitz, where he confirmed the news stating the following: “Saints Row is very close to our hearts, and we’ll talk about it next year. For the time being, we just wanted to get the word out that it’s coming and it’s going to be great.”
This provides us with a much-needed update on the title after the game was teased earlier this year.
Saint’s Row has been a big franchise for Deep Silver for more than a decade now and is one of the most recognisable series in gaming. It is unknown whether this new Saints Row game will be a reboot of the franchise or continue from where Volition left off.
This title will mark Volition’s return to the franchise after making Agents of Mayhem, a single-player third-person hero shooter that released to middling reviews and is considered one of the biggest flops in the current generation. The game is currently sitting at a mediocre 62 on Metacritic.
A new Saints Row game is currently in development at Volition, with a full reveal coming in 2020.
