Tokyo Game Show 2019 is but a day away at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, but that has not stopped some leaks from happening so close to debut. A trailer for Team Ninja’s highly anticipated sequel, Nioh 2, was spotted and swiftly taken down, but not before someone has snagged it and uploaded to a different YouTube channel.

Thanks to Boss Fight Database, the Nioh 2 trailer can still be viewed ahead of time, showcasing dramatic cut-scenes broken up by intense combat sequences with monsters and man alike. The hard-as-nails gameplay of the series appears to have been ramped up for the PlayStation exclusive, and it is exactly what fans will appreciate when it launches.

It is likely that Nioh 2 will be a key part of Sony’s plans for TGS 2019. With plenty of playable demos of the likes of Call of Duty: Modern WarfareFinal Fantasy VII RemakeNioh 2, and more, fans at TGS will have plenty to fawn over without the need for a press conference.

Team Ninja first revealed the game at E3 2018, and an alpha test was released earlier this year for select PS4 players. With no set release date as of yet, it is likely that it will be launched sometime in early 2020.
