A new Plants vs. Zombies title is coming, just like leaks suggested, but things are a little different this time around. EA’s latest Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville will arrive October 18 PS4, PC, and Xbox One, and you can jump in right now.
All you have to do is get the Founder’s Edition at $30, which is an exclusively digital purchase that will only be available until September 30. Purchasing the Founder’s Edition will get you access to six weeks’ of content, get exclusive rewards, and join the community in helping to shape Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville before its October release.
Everything earned in-game during this early period will be carried over to the game on launch with the Standard edition, and Founders will have their game automatically upgraded as well.
The six weeks of content for Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville include 20 fully-customizable characters, three free-roam areas to explore, a PvE mode, six online multiplayer modes, and more. In a bid to appeal to the audience, all of the modes in the game can be played split-screen in couch co-op mode for consoles.
Developers PopCap Games and publisher Electronic Arts will be publishing weekly updates about upcoming content every Tuesday, with livestream happening on Thursday. A roadmap for future content was also shared to give players a better view of what is to come.
