Yet another indie darling is getting the music treatment it deserves! Yacht Club Games’ side-scrolling, pixel-perfect platformer Shovel Knight will be joining the “Prescription for Sleep” lullaby series that will launch this December 6. Title Prescription for Sleep: Shovel Knight, the new album will feature calming, light, and jazzy music performed by Metal Gear Solid and Bayonetta composer Norihiko Hibino (saxophone) and Ayaki of PersonaQ (piano).

Known as the group, Gentle Love, the pair has also contributed to previous Prescription for Sleep albums. Prescription for Sleep: Shovel Knight marks the first time Yacht Club Games has worked with an external company for a licensed arranged album. The awesome bonus is that music from the new expansion, King of Cards, will also be included and can be heard first, with the expansion dated for December 10.

Prescription for Sleep: Shovel Knight can be purchased from a variety of digital storefronts such as Spotify, Tidal, and Apple Music, or through Bandcamp. Scarlet Moon Records will also be producing 1,000 physical copies of the album, alongside bonuses like liner notes, interviews, and even comics. You can learn more through the Bandcamp listing.
