The Resident Evil franchise has ebbed and flowed for more than two decades. There have been real highs and some real lows among the over twenty games released in the series. The brand is undeniably in a good place right now after the success of Resident Evil VII: Biohazard and the superb Resident Evil 2 remake. Capcom is clearly looking to continue this trend with their latest entry in the franchise, Project Resistance. We have known about the existence of the game for a while now. There has even been a closed beta for a small number of gamers. Well, we can now all have our first look at the game thanks to the teaser for the game that has just launched on the official Resident Evil YouTube channel. You can check the video out below –

This teaser gives off a huge Left 4 Dead vibe. Mind you, I suppose any 4-player co-operative game featuring zombies and similar creatures will remind us of Valve’s classic. Of course, this isn’t the first time that Resident Evil has tried to do a more action-focused multiplayer game on PlayStation 4. Let’s just hope this is more Left 4 Dead and less Umbrella Corps!

We should find out more about Project Resistance at the Tokyo Game Show in a few days.
