The industrious folks over at the Gamexeon forum first discovered this back in 2015, and it may still be the case. Here is a way for players to download horror project, P.T., onto your PlayStation 4 once more.
The Hideo Kojima project, first released on August 12, 2014, was removed from the console’s ecosystem shortly after the cancellation of Silent Hills. The sudden removal left many unsuspecting gamers without one of the best horror experiences in recent time if they have deleted it off their PS4.
As the video shows, you will have to download the PC program, Squid, and access your game library through a proxy server, this is where you will find P.T. Of course, this only works if you have previously already downloaded the teaser from the PlayStation Store.
There are obviously risks involved, and you are on your own if you choose to do so. However, the many comments on the Gamexeon forum seem to suggest that many have been successful following the method. Again, we stress that in the interest of safety, please consider your decision before going through with it, no matter how good P.T. is.
The removal of P.T. and the cancellation of Silent Hills were all incidents that eventually led to Kojima leaving Konami and partnering with PlayStation. His next title, Death Stranding, is set to release this November 8, and more about the game will be shown off at this year’s Gamescom.
