ps5 dev kit image

While we already know that the PlayStation (PS5) is launching this Holiday 2020, we still don’t know just what the image will look like, or how much it’ll actually cost. Today, a PS5 dev kit image has leaked online, and while this is in no way an indication of what the PS5 will look like at launch, this is our first physical interpretation of the console.

The PS5 dev kit image was leaked online by Twitter user PlayStation VR News. Check it out below.

Again, note that it’s rare — if ever — that a console development kit will look the same as it’s retail version, as the dev kit is usually made just for developers, and is not intended for commercial use/consumption.¬†For now, though, take this with a grain of salt, as this could very well be a well made fake, but this image does line up with trademarked images filed by Sony.

For more official PS5 news, Sony has confirmed that PlaStation Now will be supported by the PS5, and we have details regarding USB Type C intergration, user interface and more.

What do you hope the PS5 looks like at launch? Will you be OK with something similar with the image above? Let us know in the comments.
