The new Resident Evil 3 Remake Nemesis trailer moves the spotlight from Jill Valentine and puts it squarely on the game’s main antagonist, Nemesis. This version of Nemesis, like everything else in the game, has been updated, and he’s even been given a new face. Nemesis is a terrifying enemy, one that most, if not all, Resident Evil fans will remember, even if they never played the original Resident Evil 3 Nemesis on PlayStation 1. Since the game never got an HD upgrade, this brand new face of Nemesis will be the first time that many players experience the S.T.A.R.S hunting tyrant controlled by Umbrella. Take a look at the new trailer below and read on for more details.

In the original version of Resident Evil 3, Nemesis was a constant threat throughout the game, at least that’s what it felt like. Nemesis is a giant tyrant that has been designed by Umbrella, the evil corporation behind the T-virus outbreak, to hunt down members of the Racoon City Police Department, known as S.T.A.R.S. As a member of the department, Jill Valentine is on Nemesis’ list to kill, but he has a harder time with her than he does with all the other members.

At certain points in the original game, players were given the option to stay and fight Nemesis, or run away and try to get away from him. This feature allows players to worry a little less about their inventory, since they could run if they didn’t have enough ammo to take on the encounter. It looks like the feature will return in Resident Evil 3 Remake, but it also appears as though most encounters with the tyrant won’t be optional. One, for example, looks like it takes place as Jill tries to escape in a car, and Nemesis stops her and destroys the car.

We’ll keep you updated with anymore news about the game as it develops, such as the fact that Mercenaries mode isn’t in the game.
