Classic RPG Romancing SaGa 3 is available for the first time on the West

Square Enix announced today that their classic RPG, Romancing SaGa 3, is available now digitally on PS4. This is the first time it has seen a release on Western territories. The game launched originally 24 years ago in Japan. The title is famous for its branching story, in which players decide which path to pursue. There’s a total of eight stories, each dedicated to one of the eight protagonists. Aside from the different narratives, each of the characters have their own unique background and personality to keep things interesting across each playthrough. Additionally, Square Enix published a launch trailer for the game.

Romancing SaGa 3 in its ultimate form

This version of the JRPG was developed by industry veterans in the realm of this particular gaming genre. The list includes Akitoshi Kawazu, who has worked on franchises like Final Fantasy, Romancing SaGa, and SaGa Frontier. Also, Square Enix pointed out that this is not a carbon copy of the original Romancing SaGa 3 that released 24 years ago. This HD remaster will feature updated graphics. Aside from that, it will also have new content, starring a new dungeon called ‘Phantom Maze’ and a New Game+ option.  In addition, Romancing SaGa 3 will have new storylines, which make it entertaining for newcomers and veterans fans alike.

Classic RPG Romancing SaGa 3 is available for the first time on the West

As part of a launch celebration, Square Enix will offer a 20% discount for the game. This discount will be available on the PlayStation Store starting today and will last until December 4, 2019. For those who are fans of this franchise, SaGa: Scarlet Grace will also come to PS4 on December 3 as a digital download. Romancing SaGa 3 is now available on the PlayStation Store.
