Ahead of E3 2019 next week, it would appear that the long-gestating Shenmue 3 is shaping up to be everything fans wished for.

On Twitter, user @CFG_Cebman appears to have found a trailer at a PS4 demo unit at Walmart, with brand-new, never before seen footage of the game in action.

For years, the fans of Shenmue has been waiting for a worthy successor, and the footage shown seems to suggest everything is on the right track. From cut-scenes, combat, familiar faces, mini-games to the infamous forklift, hero Ryo Hazuki is back for more action and even more activities to keep him busy.

While the release date of August 27, 2019, is now outdated, with the game being pushed back to November 19 with an announcement on Kickstarter, the extra time for polish and refining will only mean good things for the sequel.

As Yu Suzuki put it, “whilst almost ready, the game simply needs a little more refinement before being truly finished. We feel that the extra time we have will help us deliver the true Shenmue experience players around the world deserve!”

Shenmue 3 is expected to make an appearance at E3, and frankly, it is exciting to anticipate what could be shown at the gaming convention next week!
