During a financial results statement, Take-Two Interactive confirmed it is developing a new IP and sequels for its most important franchises. This past year and the current one have been notably good for Take-Two Interactive. The company owns plenty of developers and publishers. All of which have been hard at work, delivering many of the most regarded games of these past months. In its roster, it has developers like 2K, Rockstar Games and Private Division. Within these names, you can find titles like Red Dead Redemption 2 and, most recently, The Outer Worlds.
Strauss Zelnick, Take-Two Interactive’s CEO, teased during the company’s financial result statements what’s coming next. In addition, he highlighted the success of recently released titles like Borderlands 3 and NBA 2K20. When speaking of the pipeline they have for upcoming titles he stated:
“Take-Two has the strongest development pipeline in its history, including sequels from our biggest franchises as well as exciting new IP.”
Furthermore, with sequels like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Borderlands 3, this announcement generates a lot of excitement. Especially, now that the new console generation is almost a year from now. For instance, there’s a lot of possible IPs that might be in the list of sequels, with possible candidates being Bioshock and Grand Theft Auto. Thus, after all this success, we are excited to see what this new IP from Take-Two Interactive ends up looking like.
