We’ve seen Tales of Arise rated for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in Korea. This indicates that the game could come out soon, or at least get a release date that hopefully isn’t too far in the future. The Tales of Arise rating puts it at 12+, which means that the majority of gamers will still be able to enjoy it, since most people get into gaming seriously at or just after they become a teenager. What this rating also indicates is that the game is on track of its new release window of sometime in 2020, having only been announced in June 2019. Check out the trailer for the game below and read on for more details.
Tales of Arise is said to be the rebirth of the Tales of series, according to Bandai Namco. The game’s development team is being headed up by the leader of the God Eater development team, Yusuke Tomizawa. Bandai Namco has said that the game will be an immersive experience, something which is no easy feat against other games launching this year like The Last Of Us Part 2.
Tales of Arise is set on the planet Dahna. Here, reverence has always been given to the planet in the sky known as Rena, said to be a land of righteousness and divinity. However, that truth is simply a mask that has been created by the lies that have been passed down over generations. In reality Rena has ruled Dahna from the sky for the last 300 years, raiding the people for their resources, and taking any dignity and freedom the people of Dahna might think they have. The game will follow two key characters who are born on each of the worlds, both of whom want to see things change for the better.
We’ll keep you updated with a release date for Tales of Arise as soon as one is revealed.
