It seems that a PS4 version of The Elder Scrolls Legends is looking unlikely as Bethesda has put the development of the game “on hold” for all platforms.
The news was shared on Reddit in a post titled “An Update on The Elder Scrolls Legends.’ Bethesda is effectively halting any future content development and updates for the game, leaving the game in limbo. The update doesn’t offer any information about the future of the game and seems to suggest that the PS4 version of The Elder Scrolls Legends has been cancelled.
The post reads “We would like to provide an update on Legends in regard to new content. Our previous roadmap indicated we would be releasing one more set this year. We decided to put any new content development or releases on hold for the foreseeable future. This decision will not in any way affect the release and development of GAEA’s Asia-specific version of Legends, which is operated separately, but will inform our decisions on content and feature development going forward.”
The Elder Scrolls Legends was first announced in 2015, with a console version confirmed in 2018. The card game has struggled to gain a foothold in a crowded market and genre.
