If you had a strong feeling that indie studio Hello Games’ gorgeous title No Man’s Sky was a PS4 exclusive – don’t feel bad. The game has been shown of proudly on numerous occasions, by Sony and the PlayStation crew – but as it turns out, the PS4 isn’t the only system that this title will grace with its presence.
Director Sean Murray confirmed that the highly-anticipated title will coming to PC; joining the PS4 on the list of release platforms, although at a later date. Murray confirmed the news in the latest publish issue of Edge magazine. Here’s what he had to say:
”I actually got in a bit of trouble for saying that we wanted the game to feel really console-y” says Murray. ”We’ve always had PC in mind but in my head (console-y) means solid framerate and immediate controls.”
“I think a PC game can be ‘console-y’ and it’s intended as a compliment, but I get in trouble for saying it.”
At the time of this article, there’s no word as to whether or not we can expect to see this title on anymore platforms, like Microsoft’s XBOX One or Nintendo’s Wii U; only time will tell. Nevertheless, while PS4 owners don’t get to hog the fun all to themselves entirely – they will at least be able to do so for a while before the title makes its way to the PC.
No Man’s Sky launches into orbit in 2015.
