Sony’s E3 conference has begun with a new trailer for The Last of Us 2. Well, no, that’s not true–it began with a really boring guitar interlude. But after that, it was The Last of Us 2. The trailer begins and ends in a place we have never seen before–a dance, complete with lights and electricity! Ellie even engages in some romance.

But sandwiched in-between these moments of peace is new gameplay footage. This demonstrates what we’re more accustomed to–Ellie in a worn cityscape, fighting and stalking around for her life against an enemy group. Ellie performs all the tricks we’re used to seeing from the original, and it looks like characters have to pull out arrows when they’ve been shot with them. Good stuff!

This new trailer is a home run for Naughty Dog, story-wise and gameplay-wise, but there’s no release date yet. Stay tuned!
