4J Studios announced last week that the PS4 edition of Minecraft was complete. The last thing on the company’s checklist was to submit the game to Sony for some final bug testing. Unfortunately, fans might have to wait a little longer for Minecraft PS4 Edition, because the game failed Sony’s test after a bunch of bugs were found. As a result, 4J Studios will now proceed to work on addressing the issues. Since the original release window for the game was this month, it is not unreasonable to assume that the release date will be pushed back.
The PS4 edition of Minecraft is not the only one that we might have to wait a little longer for. The Vita and Xbox One versions were slated for this month as well, but 4J Studios has stated that they are still working on addressing bugs in both versions of the game. Minecraft fans across the board, looking to get their fix on the go, or on current gen systems this month may be out of luck. On the other hand it is clear that the game is complete, and all that is left is further bug testing. It is unknown when we will see the latest version of Minecraft, but it is unlikely that it will be too much longer.
