You have to admire the gumption of Mooneye Studios. While most indie developers would be steering clear of a November release date they’ve decided to launch their debut game, Lost Ember. November is already a heavy mix of AAA games like Death Stranding, Need for Speed Heat, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Amidst this heady mix of Hollywood stars, big brand names, fast cars, and (of course) lightsabers, Lost Ember strikes a different path. Aside from the more stylised visuals, rather than aiming for photo-realism, Mooneye Studios are telling a more allegorical and fantastical tale. I can’t say I have ever heard of an “animal exploration adventure game” before. However, it does look like it could be an interesting proposition.

Lost Ember sees you playing as a wolf who has the “power to inhabit and control other animals”. The game will see you taking control of creatures such as a fish, parrot, and even a mole. It is while inhabiting these creatures that you will learn what happened to the world and why civilisation is no longer around. Well, if this sounds like your kind of thing then you will want to check out Lost Ember when it launches on 22nd November. The release date was made alongside a new trailer for the game which you can check out below –
