The first three Yakuza games were remastered independently in Japan, with Yakuza Kiwami and Kiwami 2 serving as remakes of the first two games, while Yakuza 0 serves as a stage-setting prequel. The latest, Yakuza 6, concludes the story of series protagonist, Kazuma Kiryu.

Of course, there is also Judgment, which takes place in the same universe as the Yakuza series, and more could be coming on August 29, if Ryu ga Gotoku Studio and SEGA’s tease is to be true.
